About the Department
The Department of Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana is a core teaching and practical unit of the institution, actively engaged in undergraduate (B.A.M.S.) and diploma (D.Pharma) education.

- Maintains a pharmacy and drug testing lab, supporting hands-on training and research. These facilities help PG students in preparing, analyzing, and standardizing Ayurvedic medicines.
- The departmental library has over 70 reference books that support the academic and research needs of students and faculty.
- Maintains a museum consisting of around 150 samples of metals, minerals (Rasa Dravya), and raw drugs, which serve as important visual aids for teaching and learning.
- Conducts educational visits to external pharmacies, offering students practical exposure to real-world pharmaceutical operations and medicinal preparations.

Mission: To educate students in the safe, precise, and standard preparation of herbo-mineral and metallic formulations, ensuring their efficacy, safety, and shelf-life.
