The Department of Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana is a core teaching and practical unit of the institution, actively engaged in undergraduate (B.A.M.S.) and diploma (D.Pharma) education.

Facilities and Activities

The department maintains a pharmacy and drug testing lab, supporting hands-on training and research. These facilities help PG students in preparing, analyzing, and standardizing Ayurvedic medicines.

The departmental library has over 70 reference books that support the academic and research needs of students and faculty.

The department also has a museum consisting of around 150 samples of metals, minerals (Rasa Dravya), and raw drugs, which serve as important visual aids for teaching and learning.

The department also conducts educational visits to external pharmacies, offering students practical exposure to real-world pharmaceutical operations and medicinal preparations.
