On April 20, 2024, the esteemed faculty of Government Autonomous Ayurved College, Nipaniya Rewa gathered for an insightful session at the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) meeting. Chaired by Dr. Usha Dubey, with Dr. Deepak Kulshrestha presiding as Principal, the meeting convened to review and discuss pioneering research endeavors in the realm of Ayurveda.

The agenda was brimming with diverse studies, each aimed at exploring Ayurvedic solutions for contemporary health challenges.

Here are some of the notable presentations :-

  1. Dr. Deepak Prajapati :- Dr. Prajapati delved into the effects of Shushrokta Kutajadi Kashaya in managing type II diabetes mellitus (madhumeha), shedding light on potential holistic interventions for this widespread condition.
  2. Dr. Shivani Lowanshi :- Focusing on eczema (Vicharchika), Dr. Lowanshi conducted a prospective clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy of Arka Taila alongside Navkarshika Kwatha, offering hope for individuals grappling with this dermatological challenge.
  3. Dr. Naini Jain :- Dr. Jain embarked on an open-label prospective clinical trial to assess the effectiveness of Raktachandanadi Lepa in treating melasma (Vyanga), aiming to address skincare concerns through Ayurvedic formulations.
  4. Dr. Dimple Patidar :- Premature greying of hair (Pallitya Roga) was the focus of Dr. Patidar’s clinical study, where she explored the potential of Prapandrikadi Taila as a remedy, bridging ancient wisdom with modern-day hair care needs.
  5. Dr. Anamika Singh Tomar :- Dr. Tomar delved into the ancient practice of Padabhyanga (foot massage) and its role in maintaining overall well-being (Swasthasya Swasthyarakshanam), shedding light on its probable mechanisms of action.

These presentations underscored the commitment of the academic community towards advancing Ayurvedic research and its application in addressing contemporary health concerns. The IEC meeting served as a platform for collaboration, dialogue, and the exchange of ideas, paving the way for transformative advancements in holistic healthcare.
